In Egypt, The geography had the Sahara Desert to the West and the Eastern Desert to the East. Having the Deserts surrounding them made it almost impossible for groups to invade them. The Desert provided a protective bubble.

Pharaoh was the ruler of Upper and Lower Egypt. Pharoah owned all of the lands, made all the laws, collected taxes, and protected the Egyptians from foreign invaders. The People of Egypt worshiped Pharoah as a "Living God", so he was very high in the ranks.

Egyptians had the most technological advancements in history. They were the first civilization to move away from writing in stone, to writing in Papyrus. With this advancement, they created massive libraries of their history, which gave current people information about how they lived. Another cultural advancement is how they built things. They build pyramids very good and efficient methods. Egyptians also created a working, early method of Mathematics.

Delta- A landform created by the sediment of a river.
Narmer- the first king of Egypt.
Pharoah- The Monarch of ancient Egypt.
Theocracy- A system of government that's ruled by a god.
Mummification- A system to preserve the skin and flesh of dead bodies.
Hieroglyphic-writing in symbols found in ancient Egypt to tell stories and write history.
Papyrus- A material created by Egyptians that was used as paper.

Narmer is looked at as a hero in ancient Egypt because he was the first leader of Egypt. Narmer also started a campaign to conquer the lower kingdom of upper Egypt.

Egyptian rulers differed from Mesopotamian rulers because Egyptian rulers were living gods and Mesopotamian rulers were a representation of the gods.

Egyptians built pyramids for their kings to protect them after they died.

The best technological advancement for Ancient Egyptians was the transformation from writing in stone to writing on paper. This advancement saved a lot of time and was way more efficient.

Being surrounded by Deserts helped Ancient Egyptian development because it provided security and a barrier from other attacking civilizations. 

Egyptians viewed the Pharoah as a living god. They viewed him as someone who could protect them at all costs and run the civilization.

Egyptians mummified the deceased bodies because they thought the physical condition of the body would matter in their next life.

The Renaissance

Humans Try and control nature

Nomads- Highly mobile people who moved from place-to-place in search of food. Hunter-Gatherer- People whos food was determined by hunting animals and gathering food. Neolithic Revolution- The transition from hunting and gathering, to farming. Slash-And-Burn-Farming- Cutting down trees to clear a field and burning them to create fertile soil with the ashes. Domestication- The taming of animals. The Neolithic Revolution was the most significant because, without farming, humans would still be hunting and gathering and not knowing where they would find their next meal. Cro-Magnon tools made Neolithic Survival easier because they didn't have to do everything with their hands all the time. Factors that played into the Origins of Agriculture were Climate change, and whether the community had a rich supply of grain or not. The first crops grown in the Americas were Corn, beans, and squash.
