Pre-History- The time before written records
Paleolithic- Early periods of the stone age
Neolithic- later part of the stone age
Fertile Crescent- helped ancient communities developed because of its agricultural capabilities
The agricultural revolution was a shift from hunting and gathering, to moving to permanent locations where they farmed. Populations increased due to the ability to care for the young. The invention of the wheel made it possible to make more food to store. Agricultural revolution creates hierarchies where women had lower status and were forced to work more. Five characteristics of civilization are Specialized workers, Complex institutions, Advanced cities, Advanced technology, and Recordkeeping.
